Treatment
I have been on countless anti-depressants to try and find the right one - currently I am on Wellbutrin. I take it twice a day (150mg in the morning and 100mg at 4:00). I also do meditation and journaling. I stay way from alcohol. I drink very little caffeine. I try to avoid a lot of sugar and I walk.
When things start to slip, I go to counseling. I've also participate in a few online support groups and will be facilitating a support group come September.
If perchance I fall, meaning I start to self mutilate or think suicidal thoughts, then I go to my GP or if there is no time for a referral I've gone to the Quick Clinic.
Sometimes for me it's a matter of getting that extra bit of sleep, taking a five minute bath break...just knowing when I need to be alone and when I need to force myself to get out and be active.
Treatment is a funny thing and so different for everyone. Is what I'm doing right? I don't know. Is it working? I suppose for now it is, but is it enough...I don't always think so, but I keep going. I do my best to survive and keep my moods stable and my depression low.
Please keep in mind that these are what I have found useful, but that is not to say that they are right for you. Your health care provider should be able to make some recommendations on treatment and provide you with a reading list.
Don’t forget that the GoogleAds at the top will also take you to a number of possible resources.
